sneak peek

Hey! I thought some of you might like to see what I do everyday so here's one of my more recent major embroidery accomplishments. We sewed it full-size on the back of jackets. 60,000 stitches and I punched everyone of them-- about 10,000 an hour. Tough stuff! =)

Portland

I'm driving to Portland tomorrow--picking up Kirsten in The Dalles, and spending the weekend with Tori as she prepares to run her first marathon. I'm going to run the last 5 miles with her. (as I did with my dad two other times, and a third when we actually ran the whole thing together-- very sentimental)
So much for quiet weekends at home. Next weekend I'll be flying to Eugene. (thurs-Sat) So, I'll post some pictures to document it when I get back. Until then... it's summer again! -- kinda.

Oh and I might stop in at a fashion show along the way. I hope. (in Portland, NOT WAItsburg!)
not my kind of fashion show. I wish you all could have been there though.
=)

cont.

I thought of some more.
Adding a blanket to my bedding and not wearing sunglasses anymore.

What are some of your Fall firsts?

fall official

The firsts of fall have begun. First cup of tea, first cup of soup, first episode of Survivor, jeans everyday, wearing a coat to work, long sleeved shirts, bundling up when I get home. little bit of rain. Weird.

There's probably more, but that's all I can think of--- right now. =)

Oh! and planning my own line of screenprinted items.

--I'm still not ready to wear socks though.

coming back to earth

hi.
I don't have much to say right now, but that it was nice to have a more "normal" weekend. They are becoming not so "normal" anymore. I got a lot done, though, which feels good. some of my favorites ie-- cleaning, watching movies, working on my computer, putting things away, resting, talking to Tori, etc. I bet it was beautiful outside. sad. I didn't really go outside. Going outside is one of those "it takes more than one person" situations. --to get me to leisurely spend time outside. I'm task oriented after all, so running, going to church, and grocery shopping don't count. Those are all tasks. "Go from point A to point B." That's all I got this weekend-- unless you count Friday afternoon--standing outside of Verve with Mika and Gary and company.
Anyway, maybe you're aren't following my train of thought. No problem. It just happens to be one that bothers me at times-- not spending time outside because I deem tasks inside as being more important.
Well, now you have a example of an inner dialog of mine. and that will be all for now. sorry for the potentially unentertaining material. Maybe I'll think of something more "cool" to say next time. =)
